Zwischen Bulldogge und Mops

Thomas Theodor Heine: Während die aggressive rote Bulldogge in Heines satirischen Glanzjahren vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg die Doppelmoral der feinen Gesellschaft, Kaiser und Militär, Klerus und obrigkeitshörige Justiz sowie Wissenschaft attackierte, umgab er sich im trauten Heim mit gemütlichen Möpsen, die er züchtete und deren Abbilder er als kitschige Skulpturen in Holz und Glas, Jade und Marmor, Keramik und Bronze sammelte.

Möpse, die beißen, bellen nicht.

Und auch wir haben damals die Th.Th.-Heine-Ausstellung im Bröhan-Museum besucht und darüber berichtet.
