Ganz unter uns: Noch ist es nicht so weit.
Noch blüht kein Flieder hinterm Heckenzaune.
Doch immerhin: Ich hab ein neues Kleid,
Bürofrei und ein bißchen Frühlinglaune.

Was hilft uns schon das ganze Trübsalblasen -
Da weiß ich mir ein bessres Instrument.
Ich pfeife drauf... Mich freut selbst kahler Rasen
Und auf das Frohsein gibt es kein Patent.

Mich fährt die Stadtbahn auch ins freie Feld,
Mir weht der Märzwind gleich den Weitgereisten.
Ich hab mein' Sach' diesmal auf nichts gestellt.
- Das kann man sich noch leisten.

Blau ist der Himmel wie im Bilderbuch.
Die Vögel zwitschern wie in Frühlingsträumen.
Herb mischt die Waldluft sich mit Erdgeruch
Und frühem Duft von knospig reifen Bäumen.

Die Sonne blickt schon ziemlich interessiert.
Und wärmt beinah. - Doch, während ich sie lobe,
Verschwindet sie, von Wolken wegradiert.
Es scheint, sie scheint nur Probe.

Ganz unter uns: Noch kam der Lenz nicht an,
Obgleich schon Dichter Frühlingslieder schrieben.
- Erst wenn man frei auf Bänken sitzen kann,
Dann wird es Zeit, sich ernstlich zu verlieben...
