[Humorlose Österreicher?] Da bin ich doch mal wieder auf einen völlig humorlosen Designer gestoßen. Habe nämlich folgende freundliche (für meine Verhältnisse) Email an den Standard geschickt:

Lieber Standard,

ich besuche gerne ihre Webseiten, fuehle mich jedoch durch die staendige Ermahnung, einen neuen Browser einzusetzen, diskrimminiert. Ich benutze naemlich immer die neueste Version von iCab (Macintosh), der sich auch stolz als iCab identifiziert, jedoch von Ihrer Browserweiche nicht erkannt wird.

Vielleicht sollten sie mal folgenden Artikel verinnerlichen: KISS - Keep it Simple, Stupid. 10 Regeln für ein optimales und überall les- und nutzbares Web-Design oder jemanden fragen, der etwas vom Internet versteht :o)

Über die Antwort, die ich von einem Herrn Wolfgang Goedel, seines Zeichens Leiter der Applikationsentwicklung bei der Bronner Online AG, bekommen habe, bin ich doch fast vom Hocker gefallen:

Ich würde mich ja gerne bei Ihnen für den ersten Absatz ihres Mails bedanken, wenn Sie der zweite nicht als überheblichen Besserwisser entlarven würde, dem seine Selbstüberschätzung jedes Vermögen nimmt, ein objektives Urteil zu fällen.
Der iCab Browser wird trotzdem in Zukunft berücksichtigt.
