Warum er mich anschreibt und dann nicht einmal sagt, was bei mir kleben bleibt, wird wohl sein Geheimnis bleiben — ebenso wie seine Adresse. [Sie haben Post]: Andreas Schmidt hat fakeMail nach Delphi portiert. Als Mac-Man kann ich das Programm nicht testen, aber Andreas sagt, die Vorteile seines Programmes wären:

• ca 200000 Adressen pro Minute (P3, 800MHz)
• Es werden Listen mit Domainnamen verwendet, damit bekommen "böse" Domains wie z.B. bulkersclub.com Spammails.
• die EMail-Adressen sehen nicht künstlich aus

Das Programm kann man hier runterladen (Zip-Datei, 179 KB incl., Source-Code).

There are to be several implementations for sending pings (see this tutorial, too). But I want the pings to be send automagically. There is much talk about it but no code.

So I hacked a Python script which connects to radio via the Meta Weblog XML-RPC API, iterates through the latest posts, gets all the liks in each posts, downloads the pages referenced by this links, extracts traceback-RDF information, compares them with if they match the links we were expecting and if so sends out the trachback pings. I will give this thing a test run for one or two more days to be sure it does not break the internet or something like this and then post it here.« [disLEXia]

Mit einem Datenvolumen von 50 bis 100 MB pro Bild kann man dann die Bilder für Reproduktionen auf Knopfdruck aus dem Archiv holen. [Book Review]: Essential Blogging. »Blogger, Radio Userland and MovableType are the primary products discussed in the book. Each of these packages has two chapters dedicated to it, one for beginners' introduction and one for description of advanced features. The main difference between these three products is in their hosting capabilities - Blogger wants you to keep the journal entries on its Web site and provides Web interface, Radio UserLand keeps the posts on its own server as well, while providing desktop interface, while MovableType assumes the user has a Web server on which to install the blogging software. Both Blogger and Radio UserLand allow for self-hosting, which is also covered in introductory chapters.

Another chapter is dedicated to server-based Blosxom, and in the review of desktop clients such blog utilities as BlogScript, BlogApp, BlogBuddy, W.Bloggar and Slug are covered.« [Slashdot]
